ABOUT
CAFFEINE
IS CAFFEINE SAFE FOR ME?
A caffeine intake of 200 mg per dose, and up to 400 mg per day, is generally considered safe. Pregnant women should limit their daily intake to 200 mg or less.
HOW MUCH CAFFEINE SHOULD I USE?
1-2 mg/kg bodyweight for improved performance, 3-6 mg/kg for optimal endurance performance.
DOES CHEWING CAFFEINE REALLY MAKE IT KICK FASTER?
Yes, chewed caffeine is absorbed in the mouth via buccal absorption, entering the bloodstream faster than when absorbed in the gut (Kamimori et al., 2002).
OUR
INGREDIENTS
ARE CAFFEINE BULLETS VEGAN?
Sadly not yet. We’ve been hoping to bring out a vegan version, but are yet to find a suitable alternative to egg white powder which is necessary for the chew and substitutes such as aquafaba hasn’t been possible at large scale.
However Ginger Roars & Sustain Gum are both vegan.
ARE CAFFEINE BULLETS VEGETARIAN?
Yes they are, however they do contain egg white powder which gives the chew its chewiness.
ARE CAFFEINE BULLETS KETO FRIENDLY?
Yes, they can be consumed as part of a ketogenic diet at only 5.3-6.1 g carbs per serving and less than 30 kcal, so you can do fasted training using Caffeine Bullets without spiking your insulin levels.
HOW DOES CAFFEINE BULLET COMPARE TO ENERGY DRINKS?
Caffeine Bullet contains less sugar than your average energy drink and without the artificial nasties.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION FOR CAFFEINE BULLETS?
You can find all of the ingredients and nutritional information on our product pages. For the nutritional information for Mint flavour click here and for Chocolate orange flavour click here.
OUR
PRODUCTS
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS BATCH TESTED OR INFORMED SPORT?
Not currently. It’s quite an expense for a young brand. The main purpose is to ensure that there’s no risk of cross contamination, but our products are made in a sweet factory where there are no other sports or dietary supplements. So while we’re not batch tested currently, neither are your haribo.
DO YOU HAVE ANY NEW FLAVOURS OR PRODUCTS ON THE WAY?
We’re constantly developing new products to help you optimise your performance, however one of the challenges is that caffeine is extremely bitter. Because of that we’ve currently only produced the mint & choolate orange flavours because we felt other attempts weren’t good enough for the customer. We’re still looking at developing a vegan version of our chews and we’re currently developing many different products for the near future. If you’ve got any ideas for a flavour you’d really like to see or ideas for potential new products then please get in touch.
CAFFEINE
BULLETS
WHAT MAKES CAFFEINE BULLET UNIQUE?
Caffeine bullet contains a highly concentrated dose of caffeine that is absorbed as you chew, meaning it kicks faster than energy drinks, gels and pills.
HOW MUCH CAFFEINE IS IN A CAFFEINE BULLET?
The caffeine content of a mint Caffeine Bullet chew is 100mg of caffeine, chocolate orange has 85mg of caffeine. For reference, a can of coke is 32mg, an espresso is between 50-70mg, a typical red bull is 77mg and caffeine gels can range from Gu gels of 25mg up to SIS gels with 150mg caffeine. Our chews have been independently analysed and their caffeine content confirmed.
WHY IS THERE LESS CAFFEINE IN THE CHOCOLATE ORANGE FLAVOUR?
We were getting complaints about the chew being too hard, particularly in the winter in parts of North America, as the chews softness changes with the temperature and the cocoa powder was absorbing a lot of the moisture. So we reformulated to make it softer (like the mint), but it meant that the chews had slightly less caffeine, as otherwise, it would upset the flavour balance.
WILL THEY DEFINITELY IMPROVE MY PERFORMANCE & KEEP ME ALERT?EINE BULLET COMPARE TO ENERGY DRINKS?
For 10% of people, caffeine has a negative effect on performance (it’s based on your DNA). So if you don’t respond to caffeine then you won’t respond to Caffeine Bullet. You’ll probably already have a good idea how you perform after caffeine if you’ve ever had a coffee or energy drink before a workout. If they don’t work for you then they’ll probably still work for a friend or family member (and they’ll love you for the gift).
WHERE ARE CAFFEINE BULLETS MADE?
Caffeine Bullets are made in the UK in Yorkshire. The factory is family owned and their company has been making quality confectionery for over 100 years.
HOW BIG ARE THE PACKS AND HOW MANY CHEWS PER PACK?
1 packet contains 4 chews and 1 bag contains 40 chews.
WHAT ARE THE USE BY DATES?
Very long, although the best before date is typically 1-2 years. Most of the ingredients are preservatives, so while we have to put a best before date on the packaging, we’ve had chews that are 4 years old, that are still good to go and still have as big a kick.
WHAT FLAVOURS ARE AVAILABLE?
Mint and Chocolate Orange. We’ve trialled numerous other flavours, but caffeine is very bitter and no other flavours have been tasty enough to release.
WHAT FLAVOUR DO YOU RECOMMEND FIRST?
Mint is the most popular flavour, partially because we’ve been selling it for longer, but also because each chew has 100 mg caffeine vs 85 mg in the chocolate orange. The chocolate orange is definitely the tastiest though so if you’re not use to caffeine products or a coffee lover we’d always recommend them as a first chew.

HOW DO GINGER CHEWS HELP WITH NAUSEA?
Ginger is often used as a remedy for nausea, whether stemming from morning sickness, motion sickness, or exercise-induced. This is supported by the findings in a 2016 research review that analysed multiple studies researching the effectiveness of ginger in preventing nausea. The authors propose that the gingerols and shogaols found in ginger are effective in preventing nausea and vomiting.
